These terms apply to your use of the WhyLens Tableau dashboard extension and this website. By adding WhyLens to a Tableau dashboard, you agree to them.

1. Early access

WhyLens is currently offered free of charge as an early-access product. Features may change, be added or be removed as we improve it.

2. Future pricing

We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will announce it on this website at least 30 days in advance. A free version will remain available, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

3. Your data

Your data stays yours. WhyLens processes it in your browser and does not send it to us. See the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You may use WhyLens in your own and your organisation's Tableau dashboards. You may not resell, rebrand or redistribute WhyLens, or remove its notices, without our written permission.

5. Insights are a starting point

WhyLens generates findings automatically using statistical methods. They can be incomplete or wrong, especially with partial, filtered or unusual data. Check important findings before acting on them. You are responsible for decisions made using WhyLens.

6. No warranty

WhyLens is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and availability. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or always available.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhyLens and its author are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of WhyLens. During early access our total liability is limited to zero, as no fee is paid.

8. Tableau

WhyLens is an independent product and is not made, endorsed or supported by Tableau or Salesforce. Tableau is a trademark of Salesforce, Inc.

9. Open-source components

WhyLens includes open-source libraries under their own licences: Apache ECharts (Apache 2.0), jsPDF (MIT), html2canvas (MIT) and PptxGenJS (MIT).
